You will be collected by our air-conditioned four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle. We travel north along one of Australia’s most scenic coastal routes towards the World Heritage Listed area – The Daintree Rainforest – Cape Tribulation. We will cross the Daintree River by cable Ferry. You will Journey through this spectacular example of Mother Nature, which contains the highest number of plant and animal species that are rare, or threatened by extinction.
Your experienced guide will enlighten your journey with incredible stories and history as you continue on the 4WD only -Bloomfield Track. This will take you through the heart of the rainforest and some of the most rugged terrain in Far North Queensland. Crossing rivers and climbing mountain ranges. We stop for Lunch at the famous Lion’s Den Hotel (Est.1875). One of North Queensland’s oldest running bush pubs. Our tour continues to the unique geological oddity, which is Black Mountain, surrounded in mystery and spoken of in ancient Aboriginal legend. Arrive in Cooktown where you will have a 360 degree view from Grassy Hill of the Endeavour River and Cooktown. Have your camera ready! Enjoy time to explore Cooktown before being transferred to Cooktown Airport.
Our Drive-Fly tours fly the scenic way back to Cairns. Experience a 45 minute flight with Skytrans Airlines as you fly along the coast between the world Heritage Rainforest (you’ve just experienced by 4WD) and the Great Barrier Reef. On arrival in Cairns you will be transferred to your accommodation.
